Brown rice is whole-grain rice with the inedible outer hull removed. It is a whole-grain meaning that it contains three parts of the grain kernel. It isn't refined and processed like white rice and therefore a better choice nutritionally.
Brown rice is high in nutrients, high in fibre, gluten-free and relatively low in calories.
It is best to soak your rice for at least 30mins before you cook it as it not only helps wth absorption it has been said to boost nutrients.
