Basmati rice is a long grain rice that provides a nutty flavour to dishes and originates from India. It is little darker in colour than white and jasmine rice and is often used for curries, stir-fry dishes, and asian style dishes.
We suggest that grains are soaked for at least 30minutes before cooking and if possible overnight. When grains are soaked they tend to be easier for your body to digest and gain the nutrients from. Soaking rice and grains also helps to ensure it cooks evenly and absorb the water more efficiently.
