Chia seeds are sourced from the chia plant native to South America and are surprisingly part of the Mint family.
They can be eaten whole or ground and provide a mild nutty flavour as well as a crunchy texture. They can be used as egg replacements in most baking recipes, use them to create overnight chia pudding for breakfast or we love to add 2-3 tablespoons to our smoothies each morning.
