Contrary to its name Buckwheat is not related to wheat, it is consumed as a grain but doesn't grow on grass making it gluten friendly. It is actually a fruit seed.
Buckwheat is researched to be high in fibre and rich in minerals. It is said to contain many more minerals than other common cereals.
It is also rich in rutin which can help strengthen blood vessels and support circulation. Buckwheat flour is excellent in baking, gluten free breads or crackers or you can make delicious buckwheat pancakes.
